About
eddie gunter
Eddie Gunter is a passionate, energetic, and expressive worship leader that lives by the mantra of being about his Father’s business! One of his life's passions is bringing people together for the glory of God through the art of music.
Basically born on the pew, Eddie’s whole life has been centered around church and the body of Christ. He has served as a drummer, youth leader, choir director, worship leader and music director. He has been featured and done vocals for several albums, and has shared the stage with popular gospel artists like Myron Butler, John P. Kee, Todd Galberth and Casey J.
As a Jamaican Born, Brooklyn raised, but Florida made native, Eddie’s musical influences are more diverse than the multiple places he has lived in. His influences include, traditional hymns, the reggae beats of the Grace Thrillers, the classical melodies of Richard Smallwood, and the R&B/ Hip Hop sound of Kirk Franklin and Tye Tribbett, just to name a few.
With such an eclectic taste one can see why he is so versatile in his approach to worship. One moment he will have you jumping dancing, and then the next he’ll go full throne room worship mode. Nevertheless, one thing for certain, he is sincere in what he does and though some may give him the nickname of “baby Tye” or “Kirk Franklin”, he is authentically Eddie Gunter.
Eddie currently serves as the music director for Gospel Light Apostolic Church in Miami, FL. Although he is one of the most sought after worship leaders in South Florida, he has remained humble and honored to serve in God’s kingdom.
